Is KIE a school?
No. KIE is an individualized educational support program for families choosing homeschooling. It does not replace a school or the family’s homeschool requirements.
Is KIE an ABA service?
No. KIE is separate from Super Kids ABA services. It is a private-pay educational program and is not covered by insurance.
What ages or grades do you serve?
We do not publish a fixed range. Placement is determined through the Initial Curricular Assessment based on the student’s skills and learning needs.
What does the program include?
The program includes an initial assessment, individualized plan, personalized curriculum, daily 45-minute one-on-one instruction, guided small-group learning, progress monitoring, portfolio support, reports, and conferences.
What are the program hours?
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, during the academic year.
When does the academic year begin?
The 2026-2027 academic year runs from August 24, 2026 through June 24, 2027.
What is the enrollment deadline?
August 14, 2026, or when available places are filled. After the deadline, late enrollment may be available based on space.
Is tuition prorated for a later start?
Monthly tuition may be prorated depending on the student’s official start date.
What is the Enrollment Fee?
The one-time $150 fee is non-refundable. It includes the assessment, academic profile, individualized plan, and enrollment processing.
What is monthly tuition?
Monthly tuition is $900. KIE is private pay and is not covered by insurance.
Are materials included?
Most instructional materials are included. Families may occasionally need to provide specific items based on the individualized plan.
What reports do parents receive?
Ongoing updates, quarterly reports, parent conferences, portfolio reviews, and an end-of-year comprehensive report.
Who designs the curriculum?
A Florida-certified special education teacher oversees personalized curriculum aligned with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards.
Is Step Up For Students accepted?
Eligible families may be able to use a scholarship. Approval and funding are determined by the scholarship program and are not guaranteed by KIE.
What happens if my child is absent?
Parents should notify the program as soon as possible. Make-up sessions are not guaranteed and depend on availability.
